The field of obstetrics and gynecology is still developing on the continent of Africa. Examples being that maternal mortality in Africa accounts for 65% of global maternal mortality, and cervical cancer is rarely screened and commonly detected in its late stages. What do best practices look like for an OB/GYN with limited fetal monitoring, irregular screenings, inadequate funds, and lack of patient and provider education?
